School Day

The total time this equates to is 33.75 hours per week.

School gates open at 8:30am, when staff are available to welcome pupils into school. For safeguarding reasons, the gates remain locked until this time.

Members of staff are positioned at the entrance points to greet children and support a smooth start to the day. If you have a message for your child's teacher, staff will be happy to pass this on.

To ensure that teachers can focus on welcoming pupils and preparing them for learning, they are generally unavailable for longer conversations at the start of the school day. If you would like to discuss something in more detail, please contact the school office, who will be happy to arrange a telephone call or meeting with the class teacher.

To support children's independence and maintain a calm start and end to the day, parents do not routinely enter classroom areas during drop-off or collection times unless specifically invited by the school.

Working in Partnership with Parents

We have 16 classes across the school and place great value on building strong relationships with parents and carers. We keep families informed about their child's learning and progress in a variety of ways, including:

We believe that strong communication between home and school helps every child to thrive, and we welcome opportunities to work together in supporting their learning and development.
