School Council 2018 - 2019
Each class democratically elects one school councillor to represent their peers and make positive contributions to the school and wider community. Currently, the school council are working on a long term project to raise awareness of plastic pollution.

Below is the expected schedule for this academic year:
Autumn term
The school council will learn about plastic pollution and its impact on the environment. They will feedback their learning to their peers and discuss pictures of endangered marine life.
Spring term
Children will continue to learn and discuss the dangers of plastic pollution and raise awareness around the school. They will start campaigning to raise awareness for the ‘Walkers Crisp Packet Recycling Scheme’. This is a scheme to turn empty crisp packets into useful new things.

We have also joined this competition and made a pledge to collect and recycle as many crisp packets as possible: https://www.premierleague.com/news/671981
Summer term
The school council will organise beach cleans where selected pupils will visit the beach to collect waste and rubbish.
Meetings are fortnightly with Mr Baldwin and Mrs Long.
