Friends of Ipswich Town Football Club
Ipswich Town Football Club have launched a new education programme, sponsored by the Seckford Foundation, aimed at inspiring youngsters in literacy. The club is hoping to get involved with many schools across Suffolk, Red Oak being one of them, thus strengthening its links within the community. As part of this programme, all local primary schools are being given the opportunity to become a Friend of Ipswich Town Football Club for the 2014/15 season.

Benefits: What will the school get?
- Two complimentary season tickets (one child and one adult) for the school to use as a reward incentive for pupils throughout the season
- A Friends of ITFC pennant for display
- A signed football or pennant for school fundraising
- Priority access to the ITFC Key Stage 2 Creative Writing Project which includes pupils interviewing a player and writing their own report (subject to availability)
- An ITFC DVD to promote reding
- ITFC colour posters promoting reading
- Access to sets of surplus matchday programmes
- Use of the Friends of ITFC logo on school letterhead and school website
- Media coverage of the partnership in the local media, club website, club social media and/or official matchday programme
- Opportunities to submit pupils work for inclusion in a new children's matchday programme
- Priority booking for future education projects, such as stadium tours, currently under development
Ipswich FC vc Brentford FC
On the 7th of March a group of our children where invited to go watch Ipswich FC vs Brentford FC at Ipswichs home ground, Portman Road. For most of the children this was the first time they had been to a real stadium to see a live football game. The excitement was obvious and a fantastic day was had by all. The score finished 1-1 and the children should be proud of themselves as their behaviour was fantastic. The day was finished off with the children buying a match programme as a reminder of their day.
